The anti-immigration agency launches a unified digital system across the country

Tripoli, August 20, 2026 (LANA) – The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency launched a unified digital system on Wednesday to connect its headquarters with its branches across the country. The system aims to expedite information and data exchange, improve performance efficiency, enhance monitoring, and support decision-making.
This took place during an expanded meeting held in Benghazi, chaired by the agency's head, Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafeefi, and attended by department and branch directors, as well as the Director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Jalal Huwaidi.
The meeting reviewed the agency's performance evaluation results for the first half of the year, along with several security and administrative files and technical reports related to workflow. Emphasis was placed on completing procedures for agency personnel and addressing outstanding administrative files in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
The agency head also received the final report from the technical committee tasked with preparing the digital transformation project, which included the official launch of the unified digital system, enabling direct connectivity between the agency's headquarters and its branches.
The agency explained that the system will contribute to accelerating the exchange of information and data, improving monitoring and oversight mechanisms, enhancing performance efficiency, and supporting decision-making. It noted that the system was designed and developed by engineers and technicians from the agency's headquarters.
Al-Khafeefi emphasized that launching the system represents a strategic step in developing the agency's operations and enhances the use of modern technologies and national expertise in improving security and administrative performance. He stressed the continuation of digital transformation plans and raising the agency's readiness to perform its duties in combating irregular migration.
