Libya wins first and second place in the King Abdulaziz International Prize for Memorizing the Holy Quran

Tripoli, August 20, 2026 (LANA) – Two Libyan contestants from the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs achieved first and second place in the King Abdulaziz International Prize for Memorizing the Holy Quran, an achievement that reflects the excellence of Libyan participants in international Quranic competitions.
The Authority stated that contestant Naji Attia bin Suleiman won first place in the category of memorizing the entire Holy Quran, while contestant Hammam Mustafa Zariqan won second place in the category of memorizing the last half of the Holy Quran.
This achievement strengthens Libya's presence in international Quranic forums and confirms the distinguished level achieved by Libyan Quran memorizers in international competitions.
The Authority congratulated the contestants, wishing them continued success in their future participations.
