Tripoli, August 20, 2026 (LANA) – The National Center for Disease Control announced the distribution of more than 300 solar-powered refrigerators to several health facilities as part of efforts to mitigate the impact of power outages and ensure the continuity of vaccination services.

In a brief press release, the Center explained that it has equipped all health facilities providing vaccination services with precise temperature monitoring devices to guarantee the quality and safety of vaccines.

The Center added that, in a statement published on its official page today, Thursday, it trained vaccination supervisors in municipalities last month on procedures for dealing with power outages, as part of emergency preparedness measures.

It noted that municipalities are being supplied with vaccines in partial shipments, while the main stock is maintained in warehouses equipped with refrigeration and alternative power sources.

The Center affirmed that the efforts of supporting entities in providing supplies and contributing to stock rotation have contributed to the continuity of vaccination services, despite the challenges faced by some municipalities due to power outages and fuel shortages.
