Tetteh Reviews Political, Economic and Security Developments in Libya with French Presidential Envoy

Tripoli, August 19, 2026 (LANA) – The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Hanna Tetteh, met today, Wednesday, in Tripoli with the Special Envoy of the French President to Libya, Paul Soler, to review the latest political, economic and security developments in the country.
According to the UN mission, the two sides discussed the latest political, economic and security developments, including the progress made in implementing the UN-facilitated political roadmap and the mini-meeting.
The two sides also exchanged views on ways to support Libyans in reaching a political agreement that would pave the way for national elections and the reunification of state institutions.
