NOC Reviews Oil Research Center’s Achievements in Production and Digitalization.

Tripoli, 18 August 2026 (Lana) The National Oil Corporation (NOC), during its 2026 technical and financial meeting, reviewed the performance and activities of the Oil Research Center and its achievements in technical and research studies, supporting production operations, and digital transformation at the center’s headquarters in Tripoli.
The meeting noted that the center had achieved 1,169 consecutive days without any work-related injuries, totaling 5.761 million safe working hours, in addition to completing 35 laboratory and technical studies for operating oil companies.
According to the NOC’s official page, the meeting also addressed the activation of the Formation Damage Simulation (FDS-800) laboratory and the 3D digital core imaging project, which will contribute to reservoir modeling.
It also discussed the establishment of two specialized units: the first focused on production optimization and technical intervention in shut-in and low-performing wells, and the second on data science and artificial intelligence to develop the digital platforms “Rakeeza” and “Makamin.”
They also reviewed the center’s environmental efforts, including the development of a framework for monitoring methane leaks via satellites.
The NOC’s representatives reaffirmed their continued support for the Center as a technical and research arm contributing to the development of technological solutions and enhancing the performance of the oil sector.
