Tripoli, August 17, 2026 (LANA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah Al-Din Al-Namroush, met today, Monday, with the US Military Attaché to Libya, Colonel Dustin Denola, to discuss strengthening military and security cooperation and developing the partnership between the two sides.
The meeting addressed ways to support joint cooperation, particularly in the areas of training, qualification, and enhancing efficiency and readiness. They also discussed initial arrangements and preparations for participation in Exercise Flintlock 2027, and the proposed training programs within the exercise.
According to the General Staff, the meeting comes within the framework of strengthening joint cooperation and coordination, and developing training capabilities to enhance readiness and efficiency.
