A meeting in Zawiya discusses the repercussions of the damage to the oil complex

Zawiya - August 15, 2026 (LANA) - An expanded meeting was held in Zawiya on Saturday to follow up on the progress of work within the municipalities of Greater Zawiya. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of State for the Affairs of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and the Cabinet, Mohammed bin Ghalbon, and attended by the Minister of Health, Mohammed al-Ghouj, the Minister of Youth, Haitham al-Zahaf, and directors of executive bodies and public companies.
According to the "Our Government" platform, the meeting discussed the repercussions of the damage to the oil complex and the progress of repair procedures. It also reviewed the field work for the maintenance of the South Zawiya 11/30 kV substation, the resumption of maintenance at the Zawiya dual-cycle substation, and efforts to restore power to the grid in coordination with the General Electricity Company.
The meeting also discussed the Ministry of Youth's action plan within the municipalities of Greater Zawiya, the Youth Housing Initiative, and ongoing development projects within the municipalities, in addition to transportation sector projects and projects of the General Water and Sanitation Company.
The meeting emphasized the need to continue coordination among executive bodies, expedite damage repairs, and monitor the implementation of development and service projects, all of which contribute to improving the level of services provided to citizens.
