The European Union affirms its continued support for Libyan youth in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Tripoli, August 12, 2026 (LANA) – The European Union in Libya affirmed its continued support for young entrepreneurs and innovators in Libya by strengthening the startup ecosystem and empowering young men and women with future-oriented skills, thus contributing to talent development, job creation, innovation, and sustainable growth.

In a post on its official page marking International Youth Day, the EU explained that the “EU4Skills” initiative focuses on equipping young men and women with the skills required for the jobs of the future.

It also noted its continued support for institutions investing in talent, jobs, and innovation, thereby enhancing opportunities for sustainable growth in Libya.

On this occasion, the EU reiterated its appreciation for young entrepreneurs and innovators in Libya and its support for efforts aimed at providing a more conducive environment for startups and developing the capabilities of young people.

It is worth noting that the “EU4Skills” initiative, supported by the European Union, aims to enhance the skills of young men and women and prepare them for the demands of the labor market and future jobs. This is achieved through supporting skills development and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, thereby expanding employment opportunities and empowering young people to contribute to sustainable economic and social development.
