Takala discusses with the Chinese ambassador strengthening bilateral relations and the latest political developments in the country

Tripoli, August 11, 2026 (LANA) – The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today, Tuesday, with the Chinese Ambassador to Libya, Ma Xueliang, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and the latest political developments in the country.

According to the Council's media office, the Ambassador began the meeting by congratulating Takala and the Presidential Office on their election. He noted that the two sides discussed Libyan-Chinese relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, in addition to discussing the latest political developments in the country and the importance of supporting efforts aimed at achieving consensus and stability.

The importance of continuing coordination and consultation was also emphasized, along with strengthening opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves common interests and supports development and partnership between Libya and China.
