Zawiya, August 10, 2026 (LANA) – Presidential Council member Abdullah Al-Lafi is monitoring the situation in the Zawiya refinery, communicating with all parties involved, and assessing the extent of the damage to one of the refinery's tanks.

Al-Lafi confirmed that firefighters are carrying out their duties, that the situation is under control, and that a committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
