Dbeibah follows up on the latest security developments in the country in an expanded meeting

Tripoli, August 10, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Abdulhamid Dbeibah of the Government of National Unity held an expanded meeting on Monday to follow up on the latest security developments. The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Major General Emad Al-Tarabulsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Lieutenant General Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Salah Al-Din Al-Namroush, Director of Military Intelligence and Commander of the 444th Combat Brigade Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hamza, and Head of the General Security and Security Deployments Apparatus Major General Abdullah Al-Tarabulsi.
Also present were the Head of the Joint Operations Force Major General Omar Abu Ghadada, Commander of the 52nd Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Mahmoud Bin Rajab, representative of the Deterrence Apparatus for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime Colonel Mohammed Aboud, Commander of the 55th Infantry Battalion Muammar Al-Dhawi, Head of the National Support Force Ahmed Sabsi, and National Security Advisor Ibrahim Dbeibah.
The meeting discussed the latest security developments and ways to raise the level of readiness and coordination among the various military and security agencies and institutions. This aims to enhance their ability to deal with any potential developments and maintain security, stability, and the safety of citizens and vital installations.
Dbeibah stressed the need to deal firmly with any transgressions or actions that threaten security or harm vital installations and facilities, and to take the necessary measures against them, emphasizing the importance of raising the level of coordination and readiness among the various agencies.
