The Social Affairs Department in Surman calls on those affected by the August 4 clashes to complete the damage assessment procedures

Tripoli, August 10, 2026 (LANA) – The Surman branch of the Ministry of Social Affairs called on Monday for citizens whose homes, vehicles, shops, workshops, or other private property were damaged as a result of the armed clashes that took place in the city on August 4 to promptly contact the Damage Assessment and Documentation Committee to complete the damage registration process.

In a statement published on the municipality's official page, the branch explained that the committee continues to receive affected citizens who have not yet come forward, in order to complete the assessment, prepare lists and data on those affected, and submit them to the relevant authorities.

The branch requested that those affected submit a report or statement from the police station responsible for damage assessment, proof of ownership of the damaged property, proof of identity, and photos of the damage and damaged property, if available.

The branch emphasized the importance of submitting the required data and documents accurately and cooperating with the committee to facilitate the completion of the damage assessment and documentation process.
