Tetteh Meets with Egypt’s Chargé d’Affaires to Libya.

Tripoli, 10 August 2026 (Lana) Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General Hanna Tetteh discussed with Egypt’s Chargé d’Affaires to Libya, Ambassador Tamer Al Hefni, the latest political and security developments in the country.

According to the Mission on its official website, they discussed the UN-facilitated political process, including the status of the Smaller Convening meeting, and exchanged views on Libya’s political, economic, and security developments.

“Both reaffirmed their commitment to supporting a unified Libya and advancing a political process that leads to credible and successful elections,” the Mission added.
