Al-Baour Discusses Energy Cooperation and Preparations for the Libyan-Tunisian Joint Committee with Al-Nafti

Tripoli, August 5, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, discussed bilateral cooperation, particularly in the energy sector, and preparations for the meetings of the Libyan-Tunisian High Joint Committee during a telephone conversation on Wednesday with Tunisia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ali Al-Nafti.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and further develop them, particularly in the fields of energy and renewable energy, in a manner that serves their mutual interests and promotes economic integration between Libya and Tunisia.
The two ministers also agreed on the importance of making thorough preparations for the upcoming meetings of the Libyan-Tunisian High Joint Committee, which would contribute to strengthening economic and technical cooperation, particularly in the energy sector, and advancing bilateral relations toward broader horizons in line with the aspirations of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
Both sides also underscored the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on various regional and international issues of mutual concern, in a manner that strengthens bilateral relations and serves the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.
