Ankara, August 5, 2026 (LANA) – The head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, received the Minister of Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Major General Emad Al-Tarabulsi, in Ankara. They discussed several security and intelligence issues of mutual interest.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the meeting addressed a number of security and intelligence matters of mutual concern, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the relevant agencies in both countries. This cooperation aims to address shared security challenges, consolidate security and stability, and serve the common interests of Libya and Turkey.

Yesterday in Ankara, Kalin also received the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of the GNA, Lieutenant General Abdul Salam Al-Zubi. They discussed the latest developments in Libya, several issues of mutual interest, the political process, and efforts to unify the military institution on professional and national foundations. This aims to strengthen the unity of state institutions and support the comprehensive settlement process.
