Al-Baour discusses cooperation between Libya and the European Union with the EU Ambassador

Tripoli, August 5, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Wednesday, with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, to discuss cooperation between Libya and the European Union and ways to strengthen and develop it in a manner that serves mutual interests.
Al-Baour reviewed the latest political developments in Libya and the efforts being made to enhance security and stability and advance the political process to fulfill the aspirations of the Libyan people.
Ambassador Orlando reiterated the European Union's support for efforts aimed at achieving stability in Libya, emphasizing the EU's commitment to continuing cooperation with Libya in various fields.
Both sides agreed on the importance of continuing consultations and coordination on issues of common interest, which will contribute to strengthening the partnership between Libya and the European Union.
