The committee tasked with preparing the national green hydrogen strategy is continuing to finalize the national strategy.

Tripoli, August 4, 2026 (LANA) – The National Green Hydrogen Strategy Committee, formed by a decision of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, held its tenth meeting yesterday, Monday, at the Renewable Energy Authority's meeting hall to follow up on the completion of the national strategy.

The meeting reviewed the work completed by the committee members, focusing on finalizing the required data and information in coordination with relevant entities. This aims to ensure the development of a comprehensive strategy that supports the investment of Libya's promising potential in this sector.

The committee also discussed mechanisms for utilizing available expertise and technical support. It was agreed to continue coordination with relevant authorities and to hold technical meetings in the coming period to expedite the strategy's completion in accordance with best practices.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee agreed to submit its meeting minutes and periodic report to the Prime Minister, emphasizing the importance of this strategic national project, which enhances Libya's position in the future of clean energy and supports its efforts to attract investments and achieve sustainable development.
