Takala discusses with Al-Lafi the developments in the political, economic and security situation in the country

Tripoli, August 3, 2026 (LANA) – The President of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, met today, Monday, with Presidential Council member Abdullah Al-Lafi at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli to discuss the latest political, economic, and security developments in the country. Also present were Council members Naji Mukhtar and Omar Boushah, and rapporteur Belkacem Dabrez.

According to the Council's media office, Al-Lafi congratulated Takala on the election of the High Council of State's leadership, wishing him and the leadership success in their duties.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest political, economic, and security developments in the country, and reviewed ways to support efforts aimed at strengthening stability, unifying visions among state institutions, and addressing current challenges in a manner that serves the interests of the nation and its citizens.
