Tripoli, July 30, 2026 (LANA) – The Office of the President of the High Council of State, headed by Dr. Mohamed Takala, held its first meeting today, Thursday, following its election. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Speaker Naji Mukhtar, Second Deputy Speaker Omar Boushah, and Council Rapporteur Belkacem Dabrez, at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli.
The meeting discussed the operational mechanisms of the Office of the President, identified priorities for the next phase, reviewed several political and administrative files, explored ways to enhance coordination between the Office of the President and the Council's committees, and discussed preparations for the upcoming session.
The attendees emphasized the importance of unifying efforts and continuing consultations with various national stakeholders to support consensus-building and create the appropriate conditions for holding elections, thereby contributing to stability and advancing the political process.
