The talks focused on strengthening cooperation in the fields of energy and reconstruction.

The Prime Minister's Media Office reported that the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation on a number of priority issues, most notably preparations for the upcoming session of the Libyan-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee. This includes updating existing agreements, preparing a new package of memoranda of understanding and executive projects, adopting an institutional mechanism to monitor the implementation of the committee's outcomes, cooperating on infrastructure and reconstruction projects, expanding the participation of Egyptian companies in development projects in Libya, and strengthening cooperation in the oil, gas, and energy sector.
