Al-Tarabulsi discusses strengthening security cooperation with the Chinese ambassador

Tripoli, July 28, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Emad Al-Tarabulsi, met today, Tuesday, with the Chinese Ambassador to Libya, Ma Xueliang, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in several security fields.
The meeting addressed ways to develop cooperation between the two sides in the areas of training and capacity building, exchange of expertise and experiences, development of security communications systems, and combating crime in all its forms, with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of security agencies and strengthening their technical and professional capabilities.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the two sides also discussed a number of issues and topics of mutual interest, and coordination on them in a way that serves common interests, supports efforts to consolidate security and stability, and strengthens the bonds of cooperation and bilateral relations between the State of Libya and the People's Republic of China.
