Dbeibah Holds Two Meetings with Western Coastal Municipal Delegations to Review the Region's Needs

Tripoli, July 27, 2026 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, met on Monday with delegations from the municipalities of Al-Jamil, Regdalin, and Al-Manshiya. The delegations included mayors, municipal council members, tribal elders, mukhtars (local community leaders), dignitaries, heads of social councils, and youth representatives to review the region's needs and discuss ongoing development projects.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the key projects that have been completed or are currently under implementation, including the Regdalin–Al-Assah Road, the Regdalin–Zaltan Road, and the Al-Jamil–Zuwara Road, as well as the inauguration of the Al-Manshiya desalination plant. He also highlighted a number of education, sports, and healthcare projects, according to the Prime Minister's Media Office.

Dbeibah directed the relevant authorities to complete the procedures for implementing the dual carriageway linking Regdalin and Zuwara, finalize the development of Al-Jamil Hospital, extend the Great Man-Made River water supply to the cities of Al-Jamil and Regdalin, and provide the municipalities with additional service vehicles and equipment.

The Prime Minister also held a separate meeting with the mayors of the Western Coast Municipalities Coalition, which includes the municipalities of Surman, Sabratha, Ajilat, Al-Jadidah, Al-Jamil, Al-Manshiya, Regdalin, Zuwara, and Zaltan. The meeting focused on mechanisms to strengthen coordination among the municipalities, unify development priorities, and improve public services and joint development projects across the western coastal region.

Dbeibah reaffirmed the government's support for initiatives that promote integration and cooperation among municipalities. He also instructed the relevant executive agencies to hold field meetings with municipalities in the region next week to develop an implementation plan addressing their needs and to monitor the execution of priority projects.
