Tripoli, July 27, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met today in Tripoli with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity, Lieutenant General Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, to discuss the latest military developments, the Supreme Commander's efforts to unify the military institution and other state institutions, and the efforts aimed at supporting security and stability in Libya.

The Presidential Council's media office reported that the meeting addressed the issues of military retirement and increasing the salaries of Libyan Army personnel, including officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, and civilian employees, as well as the families of martyrs who have reached retirement age, in recognition of the efforts made by members of the army to defend the homeland and ensure the security and stability of its citizens.
