Al-Baour participates in the proceedings of the 49th session of the Executive Council of the African Union in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, July 26, 2026 (LANA) – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, arrived in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, on Sunday to participate in the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, hosted by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at the AU headquarters.
Al-Baour and his accompanying delegation were received by Mohamed Adam Lino, Libya's Permanent Representative to the African Union, along with several representatives from the Protocol Department of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Executive Council, with the participation of foreign ministers and representatives of member states, is scheduled to discuss a number of issues on its agenda, most notably strengthening joint African action, following up on the implementation of African Union resolutions, and addressing issues related to peace, security, sustainable development, and continental integration.
Libya's participation in this session affirms its commitment to supporting the efforts of the African Union and enhancing cooperation and coordination with African countries, in a way that serves common interests and contributes to achieving stability and sustainable development on the African continent.
