Al-Abed Reviews Final Preparations for Libya Experts Forum

Tripoli, July 23, 2026 (LANA) – The expanded meeting chaired by the Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation of the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Abed, at the ministry on Thursday was dedicated to reviewing the final preparations for the launch of the Libya Experts Forum and assessing the readiness of the organizational and technical arrangements to ensure its successful launch and the achievement of its objective of strengthening engagement with Libyan experts residing abroad.
According to the Ministry of Labour, the meeting reviewed the latest organizational arrangements and the final assessment of the forum's electronic application, which is now ready to be launched ahead of the event, enabling Libyan experts abroad to register and participate through an integrated digital platform.
The minister also reviewed the scientific papers included in the forum's programme, which are organized around three main themes: medical sciences, technical and information sciences, and economic development.
The meeting further discussed mechanisms for linking the forum's outcomes with the relevant authorities and organizing bilateral meetings between Libyan experts and decision-makers, with the aim of strengthening networking and making the best use of national expertise in supporting development.
The minister stressed the importance of adhering to the highest standards of data protection and confidentiality of participants' information, and of taking the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure the privacy of experts and the security of registration and participation data.
According to the ministry, the Libya Experts Forum comes as part of the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation's efforts to strengthen communication with Libyan expertise and professionals abroad and benefit from their knowledge and experience in supporting development and advancing various sectors.
