Government of National Unity's Foreign Ministry Condemns Houthi Statements Targeting Saudi Arabia's Security

Tripoli, July 23, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the statements issued by the Houthi group targeting the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and threatening the security and safety of maritime navigation in the region.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry affirmed the State of Libya's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its security, safeguard the integrity of its territory, and preserve its sovereignty.
The ministry also called for adherence to international laws and conventions, as well as the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, in a manner that contributes to maintaining regional peace and security and preventing further tension and escalation in the region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reiterated its support for all international efforts aimed at promoting security and stability in the region.
