Brega: Fuel supplies to various regions of the country are secured.

Tripoli, July 22, 2026 (LANA) – Brega Oil Marketing Company announced that fuel supplies to all regions of the country are secure, with sufficient operational reserves, regular tanker traffic, and the arrival of supplies at ports and company depots.

The company confirmed that despite the increased demand for fuel, it is bolstering supplies to service stations and is urging distribution companies to maintain their readiness with alternative energy sources.

The company explained that fuel stations have received their scheduled orders and that the majority of stations have sufficient quantities in their operational tanks. The company's depots have also fulfilled their distribution targets for distribution companies to meet the needs of the stations.

Brega Oil Marketing Company pointed out that the congestion at some stations is not related to a shortage of supplies, but rather a result of increased demand during the current period, coinciding with prolonged power outages and the resulting increase in citizen movement and vehicle use.

The company indicated that, due to increased demand, the Chairman of the Board directed an increase in supplies to several high-demand stations from the Tripoli oil depot. This aims to ensure a smooth supply and meet citizens' needs. The company also continues to supply public entities, companies, factories, and bakeries with diesel fuel, in addition to providing the General Electricity Company with its requirements according to established programs and quantities, in coordination with relevant authorities.

The Brega Oil Marketing Company called on distribution companies that own and operate fuel stations to maintain station readiness and provide alternative energy sources to guarantee uninterrupted service during periods of high demand.
