Al-Baour discusses bilateral relations and support for joint African action with the Congo-Brazzaville ambassador

Tripoli, July 21, 2026 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today, Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Libya, Cornel Samba, to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields, as well as support for joint African action.
The meeting addressed the role played by the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville in supporting efforts to consolidate and strengthen the stability that Libya is currently experiencing, and in supporting the national reconciliation process in a way that preserves the sovereignty and unity of the state, strengthens the will of the Libyan people, and fulfills their aspirations.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides agreed on the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries to contribute to supporting joint African action and efforts aimed at promoting peace and security on the African continent.
