Sirte hosts the first conference of Libyan political parties

Sirte, July 19, 2026 (LANA) – The city of Sirte will host the first conference of Libyan political parties next Wednesday and Thursday. The conference, held at the Reconstruction and Development Auditorium at Sirte University, is themed "Political Parties' Visions for Addressing the Libyan Crisis."

The conference organizers told the Libyan News Agency that the event is a national gathering of political parties and forces to discuss visions and proposals aimed at supporting national dialogue and contributing to resolving the Libyan crisis.

They added that the conference aims to provide a platform for dialogue and the exchange of views among various political parties and forces, thereby enhancing opportunities for consensus on national issues and supporting efforts to reach political solutions that contribute to achieving stability.

The conference is being organized amidst ongoing national efforts to strengthen dialogue among different parties and explore initiatives that can help overcome the crisis and reach a shared national vision that supports the path to stability in the country.
