Tripoli, 19 July 2026 (Lana), U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos emphasized his country’s commitment to supporting Libyan-led efforts to reunify state institutions, strengthen stability, and bring an end to years of political division.

This came during his meeting with the new Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Nabil Fahmy, where he congratulated him on his appointment while wishing him success in his new role, stating that the meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, including the development in Libya.

“We had a productive discussion on Libya and the importance of advancing Libyan-led efforts, which contributes to supporting national unity and strengthening inclusive governance,” Boulos said in a tweet.

Boulos emphasized Washington's continued support for initiatives aimed at consolidating stability in Libya and ensuring a more secure and prosperous future for the Libyan people.
