A mother and three of her children died in a fire inside an apartment

Tripoli, July 18, 2026 (LANA) – The Tripoli Security Directorate announced the death of a mother and three of her children from smoke inhalation following a fire that broke out early Saturday morning in an apartment in the Zawiya al-Dahmani area of the capital.
The Directorate added that members of the investigation and evidence unit at the Zawiya al-Dahmani police station, along with relevant authorities, went to the scene immediately after receiving the report. They began the inspection, collected evidence, and took the necessary legal measures.
The Directorate further stated that a report was filed regarding the incident, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire and uncover its circumstances, in accordance with established legal procedures.
