Tripoli, July 16, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Emad Al-Tarabulsi, met today in Tripoli with the Director of the Jordanian General Intelligence Directorate, Major General Ahmed Hosni, to discuss strengthening joint security cooperation between Libya and Jordan. The meeting was also attended by the Head of Military Intelligence, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hamza, and the Head of the General Security and Security Deployments Apparatus, Major General Abdullah Al-Tarabulsi.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the meeting addressed ways to enhance joint security cooperation between Libya and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in addition to discussing a number of files and issues of common interest, with the aim of strengthening security coordination and the exchange of expertise between the two brotherly countries.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination in various security fields, in order to serve common interests and enhance security and stability.
