HCS discusses prospects for a Libyan-Chinese partnership in development areas.

Tripoli 15 July 2026 (Lana) Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohammed Takala, discussed yesterday ways to strengthen Libyan-Chinese cooperation, during his meeting with the Chairman of the High Committee for Supervising Libyan-Chinese Cooperation, Khaled Rashid, held at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, was also attended by the Second Deputy Head of the Council, Musa Faraj, the Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee, Abdulmutallab Baqas, and Council member Jamila Al-Zawi.

The meeting discussed follow-up on the results of the work of the Joint Committee, and reviewed prospects for developing cooperation between Libya and China, especially in the economic, investment and development areas, as well as discussed preparations for holding Libyan-Chinese Dialogue, which aims to expand cooperation, exchange expertise, and open channels of communication with Chinese institutions and companies to support development and investment projects.

Takala emphasized the importance of implementing joint initiatives that would strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries, benefit from international experiences, support economic development efforts, and contribute to achieving the country's aspirations for greater stability and prosperity.
