Tripoli, July 13, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met today, Monday, at the Council's headquarters, with a delegation from the Fezzan National Political Assembly to discuss the latest political developments in the country.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Menfi welcomed the formation of the Fezzan National Political Assembly and its vision for a political solution to the Libyan crisis. He commended the Assembly's local and international efforts to create a national consensus and reach a balanced political settlement that would end the transitional phases, according to the Presidential Council's media office.

The delegation presented Al-Menfi with the Fezzan National Political Assembly's project document and its comprehensive vision for achieving genuine and equitable partnership for Fezzan in national political and developmental decision-making, ensuring stability in Libya, and calling for the concerted and unified efforts of national forces in the region to restore Fezzan's political and historical role and guarantee its political and developmental rights.
