Libyan Ports Company: Arrival of a modern mobile crane at Al-Khums seaport

Al-Khums, July 13, 2026 (LANA) – The Libyan Ports Company announced the arrival of a modern mobile crane, a LIEBHERR LHM 550, at Al-Khums Seaport yesterday, Sunday. This is part of the company's efforts to enhance its operational capabilities and develop port infrastructure, thereby increasing the efficiency of cargo handling, improving the quality of port services, and keeping pace with the latest maritime industry requirements.

The company stated that the arrival of this crane is a strategic addition to the port's handling equipment system. It will contribute to increasing operational capacity and enhancing the efficiency and speed of handling various types of cargo and vessels, particularly containers, thus supporting the competitiveness of Al-Khums Port and raising the level of services provided to its clients.
