NUG Renews Libya's Solidarity with Brotherly Nations

Tripoli, July 10, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, and the State of Kuwait on Thursday, stressing that these actions threaten the security of the three countries and exacerbate tensions in the region.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry said that Libya renews its full solidarity with its brotherly nations and completely rejects all actions that infringe upon the security and sovereignty of states or endanger the lives of civilians and vital infrastructure.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that such attacks negatively impact regional security and peace, emphasizing the need to respect the sovereignty of states and to refrain from anything that increases tensions in the region.

The ministry called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, prioritize dialogue, and work to de-escalate tensions, thereby strengthening regional security and stability, safeguarding the interests of the region's peoples, and preserving international peace and security.

This Libyan stance comes amidst escalating regional tensions and repeated international calls to prevent the spread of conflict and to protect the security of states, vital infrastructure, and civilians.
