Naji Issa discusses with the High Council of State the completed projects and the Central Bank's strategy during recent years

Tripoli, July 9, 2026 (LANA) – The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, met today, Thursday, with the Chairman and members of the bank's follow-up committee, formed by the High Council of State, to discuss the Central Bank's strategy over the past few years and the work accomplished.
During the meeting, the Central Bank's operations and strategy over the past few years were reviewed and discussed, along with the challenges and difficulties it faced amidst the political and institutional division during this period.
According to the bank, the meeting also discussed monetary policy measures and their success under these difficult circumstances, as well as the extent of cooperation from other executive bodies with fiscal and trade policies in ensuring their success. The bank noted that the committee received a detailed report on this period at the end of the meeting.
