Tripoli, July 7, 2026 (LANA) – The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, met today, Tuesday, with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, to discuss the latest developments in implementing the Unified Financial Agreement and ways to enhance transparency and governance to support financial and economic stability.
The meeting addressed the measures taken by the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya to support monetary and financial stability and achieve the state's financial sustainability.
Al-Lafi emphasized the importance of practically unifying public spending, strengthening coordination among relevant institutions, and taking effective measures that contribute to stabilizing the foreign exchange market and reducing the exchange rate of foreign currencies, thereby mitigating price increases and improving the living conditions of citizens.
