Tripoli, 7 July 2026 (Lana) The results of the “Have Your Say” Public Survey, launched by the UNSMIL as part of the Structured Dialogue, revealed that Libyans prioritize achieving accountability, combating corruption, holding credible national elections, establishing unified and legitimate institutions, and reducing the influence of armed groups.
UNSMIL stated on its website that the survey results were based on online and phone surveys conducted between December 2025 and April 2026, as well as discussions led by young people on the Mission's digital youth platform, emphasizing that these outcomes contributed to enriching the four tracks of the Structured Dialogue.
The results showed that 82 percent of participants support excluding individuals involved in corruption and human rights violations from positions of power, reflecting the high priority Libyans place on accountability among the survey participants.
The results also showed that 90 percent of participants support holding national elections while highlighting the concerns and priorities of women and youth regarding Libya’s future as part of an effort to develop a national vision for the next phase.
