The Office of the President of the High Council of State affirms the importance of national consensus to end the transitional phases.

Tripoli, July 6, 2026 (LANA) – The Office of the Presidency of the High Council of State, chaired by Mohamed Takala, and attended by First Deputy Hassan Habib, Second Deputy Musa Faraj, and Rapporteur Belqasim Dabrez, held its regular meeting today, Monday, at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli.

The meeting reviewed the latest political developments and the efforts being made to bridge the gaps between the various Libyan parties, with the aim of reaching a national consensus that guarantees political stability and fulfills the aspirations of the Libyan people to end the transitional phases and hold elections.

The attendees also discussed the performance of the Council's standing committees, emphasizing the need to activate their oversight role in the coming period, thereby enhancing the Council's efficiency in addressing priority issues.

The Presidency Office stressed the importance of intensifying national efforts to reach agreements that ensure the continuation of the political process within the legal and constitutional frameworks, while emphasizing the need to address the economic and service-related challenges facing citizens, in order to improve their standard of living.
