Dbeibah approves job description cards for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Tripoli, July 1, 2026 (LANA) – The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulhamid Dbeibah, approved on Wednesday the job descriptions and specifications for positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and for diplomatic missions abroad.
According to the Prime Minister's Media Office, this comes within the framework of a comprehensive project to restructure and organize diplomatic work, raise the efficiency of institutional performance, and consolidate the principles of governance and unify functional references within the Ministry.
The approval of the complete set of job descriptions and specifications was announced in the presence of the Acting Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, who confirmed that the work included preparing and approving descriptions covering various departments, offices, and diplomatic missions, ensuring a precise definition of specializations, responsibilities, and career paths.
According to the approved data, the cards included 266 cards for 6 political departments, 401 cards for 9 technical departments, 205 cards for 14 offices, 43 cards for the Diplomatic Institute, and 39 cards for Libyan embassies abroad. This step reflects the unification of the organizational structure and the modernization of the diplomatic work system.
This project is being overseen by the Administrative Organization and Personnel Department at the Ministry of Civil Service, within the framework of government coordination aimed at developing public administration and modernizing organizational structures in state institutions, according to the media office.
The Minister of Civil Service affirmed that the ministry is working to implement the government's vision aimed at reforming the civil service system, modernizing administrative structures, and raising the efficiency of performance within state institutions, thereby ensuring the consolidation of the principles of job fairness and transparency and improving the quality of public services.
