Libya's representative to the Arab League discusses with the Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister the development of cooperation mechanisms in various fields.

Cairo, July 1, 2026 (LANA) – Libya’s representative to the League of Arab States and acting head of the Libyan embassy in Cairo, Abdulmutallab Thabit, met with Egypt’s Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Mohamed Abu Bakr, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries and exchange views on a number of issues of common interest.
According to the Libyan mission to the Arab League, the meeting emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation in the coming period and developing cooperation mechanisms in various political, economic, and consular fields.
The meeting also addressed the importance of continued coordination between the two sides in Arab forums, particularly the League of Arab States, in order to serve joint Arab action.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their aspiration to continue close cooperation and build upon the positive results achieved, in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly countries and strengthens their partnership.
