NOC meets with an Indian Delegation.

Tripoli, 29 June 2026 (Lana)—The National Oil Corporation (NOC) met yesterday with an official delegation from India to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and investment in the energy sector, where both sides agreed to continue coordination to organize a joint forum bringing together Indian companies specializing in this area and Libyan oil sector officials to explore available investment opportunities that serve the mutual interests of both countries.

This came during an expanded meeting hosted by the NOC, in coordination with the NOC's International Cooperation Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, and was chaired by NOC Board Member Ahmed Ammar and attended by several department heads, and the Indian delegation was headed by the Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs, Suresh Kumar.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ammar conveyed the greetings of the NOC Chairman, Masoud Suleiman, to the members of the Indian delegation, emphasizing the NOC's commitment to expanding international cooperation and opening investment channels to contribute to the development of the oil and gas sector in Libya.

For their part, the Indian delegation affirmed their government's desire to strengthen economic relations with Libya and the participation of Indian companies in implementing oil and renewable energy projects, reiterating India's readiness to provide the necessary facilities, support training and capacity-building programs, and enhance the exchange of visits between the two sides.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on continuing coordination through official channels to prepare for the joint forum, which will enhance opportunities for cooperation and investment between the two countries in the energy sector.
