Al-Zadma and the Qatari ambassador discuss supporting development projects and enhancing stability in southern Libya

Tripoli, June 25, 2026 (LANA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Head of the Southern Development and Improvement Authority, Engineer Salem Al-Zadma, met with the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khalid Al-Dosari, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries, the latest developments in the political process, and efforts to support stability and development in Libya.
During the meeting, Al-Zadma reviewed the mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between relevant authorities and the Southern Development and Improvement Authority to implement targeted development projects. He emphasized the importance of integrated efforts to ensure the implementation of sustainable projects that meet the needs of the southern population and contribute to advancing development in the region.
For his part, the Qatari Ambassador affirmed his country's commitment to supporting stability in Libya, noting that there are plans and proposals to implement a number of development projects in southern Libya, which will contribute to improving services and enhancing development and stability.
