Tripoli, June 25, 2026 (LANA) – The Minister of Industry and Minerals in the Government of National Unity, Mohamed Abdelkader, met in Tripoli with a delegation of Chinese investors to discuss prospects for cooperation and exchange views on available investment opportunities.

The Ministry of Industry explained that the meeting addressed the situation of struggling companies and proposed solutions for their rehabilitation. Ideas were exchanged on the possibility of employing advanced Chinese technology to transform these challenges into promising investment projects.

The two sides also discussed the issue of water security, exploring proposals for establishing seawater desalination plants and examining the compatibility of Chinese expertise in this field with the Ministry's future plans.

The meeting concluded with both sides emphasizing the importance of continued communication to explore these opportunities and build a common understanding that paves the way for future partnerships supporting the aspirations of the industrial sector.
