Tripoli, June 25, 2026 (LANA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, its government and people, on Thursday, following the two devastating earthquakes that struck the country, causing numerous casualties and widespread damage.

In a statement published on its official page, the Ministry said that the State of Libya extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, affirming its full solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in facing the effects of this natural disaster and with all those affected by its humanitarian and material consequences.

The Ministry also expressed its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured and for the friendly Venezuelan people to overcome this ordeal as soon as possible.

It is worth noting that Venezuela was struck by two consecutive earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, resulting in significant human and material losses in the capital, Caracas, and several neighboring states. This prompted the authorities to declare a state of emergency and take urgent measures to address the aftermath of the disaster.
