Tripoli, June 24, 2026 (LANA) – The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, received Ara Abramyan, Chairman of the Information and International Cooperation Committee of the Russian Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations and Chairman of the Russian-Libyan Business Council, on Wednesday. The meeting was also attended by the Libyan Ambassador to Russia, Mohammed Al-Maghrawi, the official in charge of the Russia desk at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the Russian Ambassador to Libya.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Libya and Russia in various areas of mutual interest, with a focus on supporting economic and investment partnerships and developing mechanisms for coordination between the public and private sectors in both countries.

The two sides also addressed several bilateral cooperation files and discussed new avenues for coordination that would contribute to expanding areas of cooperation, exchanging expertise, and strengthening common interests between the two countries.
