Tripoli, June 23, 2026 (LANA) – President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, stressed that Libya welcomes all initiatives based on balance and inclusivity, which preserve the unity of institutions and ensure the sustainability of any political settlement.

This came during his meeting today, Tuesday, in the capital, Tripoli, with the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, and his accompanying delegation.

Al-Menfi affirmed that the role of the Presidential Council remains a fundamental pillar in strengthening national consensus and ensuring the success of any political process that serves the interests of the Libyan people and enhances security and stability in the country.

Kalin conveyed to Al-Menfi the greetings of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, emphasizing the depth of bilateral relations and the strategic partnership that unites the two countries. He praised the role played by the head of the Presidential Council in supporting stability and preserving the unity of Libya, and stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation with him on various political, security, and military issues of common interest, according to the Presidential Council's media office.

The meeting addressed the latest developments in Libya and the region, with the Turkish side emphasizing that the success of any political process requires the participation of all Libyan parties and is based on consensus and inclusivity.
