Al-Menfi discusses with the ambassadors of Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia support for stability and a roadmap to end the transitional phase

Tripoli, June 23, 2026 (LANA) – The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, received today, Tuesday, at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, the Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Libya, Abdelkrim Rekaibi, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Libya, Tamer Al-Hafni, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia to Libya, Mohammed Al-Habib Sassi.

The meeting addressed ways to strengthen the deep-rooted bilateral, fraternal, and historical relations that bind Libya with Algeria, Egypt, and Tunisia, in addition to discussing the importance of continuous consultation and coordination among the strategic neighboring countries.

Al-Menfi emphasized the depth of the shared bonds that unite the peoples of the four countries, expressing his appreciation for the positive role played by the neighboring countries in supporting Libya and its efforts to consolidate security and stability and advance development on all levels.

The Head of the Presidential Council also reviewed the key points of the document of principles for the roadmap to end the current transitional phase, which has received the consensus of the heads of the three councils. The Presidential Council, the House of Representatives, and the High Council of State, within the framework of shared national responsibility and a commitment to addressing the political and institutional challenges facing the country.
