HoR welcomes UNSMIL efforts and urges referral of Structured Dialogue outcomes.

Benghazi, 17 June 2026 (Lana) Spokesperson of the House of Representatives (HoR), Abdullah Bliheg, said that the HoR welcomed the UNSMIL’s efforts to contribute to addressing the Libyan crisis and enhancing the path to national reconciliation, as part of the House's ongoing efforts to advance the political process and end the political deadlock in the country.

In a statement yesterday, Bliheg affirmed that the HoR supports endeavours aimed at achieving stability and fulfilling political requirements to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people to build unified and effective institutions.

He also highlighted that the HoR has requested UNSMIL to submit the outcomes of the structured dialogue to the House for review and study, in accordance with its legislative powers and its role in supporting the political process and reaching consensus-based solutions that contribute to ending the political crisis in the country.
